Participation rules for poster presentation

To ensure uniformity in poster production, you are asked to respect the following guidelines.

Participation
- your work must be aligned with the objectives of the conference and within the framework of the themes of the event:

  1. demographic change and agriculture
  2. sustainable consumption
  3. health and wellness
  4. scientific knowledge and creativity in gastronomy

- the maximum number of authors per poster is 6.
- after one month of the communication of the submission results, at least one of the authors must be registered for the conference.

Structure
- the poster must be presented in digital format, horizontally for projection on TV and in the auditorium.
- the poster can be elaborated in Portuguese or English.
- the use of readable fonts and high-resolution images is recommended.
- the content must be organized in a clear and concise manner, including: title, authors, institutions, introduction, objectives, methodology, results, financing, conclusions and bibliography references.
- the use of the “Arial” font is suggested, in a size that allows good viewing on a TV screen.

Enrolment
- the author(s) of the posters must send them to the email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., by 15 February, 2025. (New deadline: 7 March 2025)
- additional information to accompany the poster:

  • full name, email, telephone number (these data will only be used for the purposes of the competition);
  • registration for participation is only valid after confirmation, by email, from the organization.

Summary
-To better understand the poster, it is necessary to send a summary of it, which must:

  • have 250 words maximum, structured according to the components indicated in the poster;
  • be written in Portuguese, English or French;
  • be sent in PDF format, together with the poster.

Presentation
- the posters will be displayed, in digital format, sequentially and randomly, during conference breaks, on the TV screen placed in the auditorium’s hall and/or in the coffee break area;
- all posters accepted by the scientific committee will be sent in digital format to those registered for the conference.

Assessment
- Admitted posters and abstracts will be assessed by the scientific committee, according to the following criteria:

  • respect and framing of the topic
  • relevant scientific content
  • topicality and relevance
  • original and attractive layout

- after validation by the scientific committee, all registered participants will be notified by the organization whether or not the poster was accepted.
- according to the established criteria, the scientific committee will identify the three best posters, which, duly framed, will be included in the conference programme and presented in an oral communication by one of the authors. 
- the representatives in the conference of the three best posters will have their participation costs (registration/travel/accommodation/meals) covered (one speaker per poster).
- participation certificates will be issued to the authors of all the posters admitted by the scientific committee.
